Buying a koi is unlike buying almost anything else alive: the same fish can cost $50 or $50,000, the quality signals are subtle, and the stakes — a 25-year animal joining a closed pond ecosystem — are high. Yet until FindKoi, there was no independent place to compare dealers. Every seller ranks for "koi for sale"; nobody neutral tells you how they differ.

FindKoi lists 36 US koi breeders and dealers side by side: the 35 varieties they carry, their price brackets, whether they breed or import, which Japanese breeders they import from, their quarantine practices, and what the hobbyist community actually says about them — every fact sourced, every thread cited.
