Why is my business listed?

FindKoi is an independent directory compiled from public sources — your website, and public community discussion. Listing is free, and every fact on your profile cites where it came from. Our methodology explains the rules we hold ourselves to.

Why do my in-stock koi appear on FindKoi?

If your online store publishes a public product feed, we read it once a day and show your in-stock koi in our cross-dealer search — attributed to you, at your prices, with every listing linking straight to your product page. We take no commission and sell nothing; the entire point is to send you buyers who would otherwise never have found your store. You appear next to your competitors either way — being in the search with photos and prices is how buyers pick you.

What is FindKoiBot?

Our crawler identifies itself with the user agent FindKoiBot (findkoi.com/dealers-faq), respects robots.txt, fetches at roughly one request per second, and visits about once per day. It only reads product data your store already serves publicly.

How do I correct or enrich my listing?

Email dealers@findkoi.com from your business domain. You can correct any fact, add the Japanese breeders you import from, state your quarantine protocol, and get the claimed badge — see claim your listing. Claiming never touches the community-reputation section, which stays a neutral, cited summary.

How do I opt out of inventory listing?

Email dealers@findkoi.com with "inventory opt-out" and your business name. We stop ingesting your feed and remove your listings within 24 hours, no questions asked. Your directory profile (the factual listing) remains, as it's compiled from public sources — you can flag errors on it any time. You can also block FindKoiBot in robots.txt; we honor it.

Do you use my photos?

Listing photos come from your public product feed and are shown only alongside your attributed listing, linking to your store. If you'd like photos excluded while keeping the listing, say so in the opt-out email — we can do either.
